Norman Island is home to two of the favorite stops in
the BVI’s.
For snorkeling "The Caves" is a favorite destination. The
Caves are a set of caves/grottos located at the edge of
shore that can be snorkeled into. They are usually full of
sea life and large numbers of fish can be seen while
swimming around The Caves including the occasional sea
turtle. It is quite an experience to swim to the rear of one
of the caves and look out toward the shimmering sea.
For food and leisure another favorite stop is "The Willie
T." a "pirate ship" serving as a restaurant and bar located
at an anchorage known as The Bight at Norman Island. The
Willie T. is the perfect place to stop for a lunch break
after a morning of snorkeling in the BVI’s. The food is good
and it is a relaxing spot to plan and contemplate the rest
of the day. |
